Description
A tibetan gilded-bronze figure of a white Tārā seated on a double-lotus base.
The white Tārā (in sanskrit: Sitatara; in Tibetan: Dölma Dokkar) is the incarnation of the feminin aspect of the buddhas compassion and is also the godess of longevity. She has seven eyes, three on her face, one in each hand and one on each foot. Her hands show the mudra of teaching and the mudra of charity.
