Description
Netsuke made with lacquered wood, brass and iron in the form of a miniature teppo. It is decorated with gold scrollwork inlaid in nunomezogan (damascene).
The teppo is the Japanese word for arquebus. It comes from the name given to explosive weapons used by the Mongols during their invasion attempts of Japan.
