An lacquer netsuke representing a double gourd, or hyotan, decorated in takamakie with cords and leaves in gold and red lacquer.
The stopper is in ivory.
The takamakie is a decorative technique that consists of sprinkling metal particles on grounds lacquer which are not dry yet.
