Description
Kogai made of russet iron with gold, silver and suaka inlays, decorated with Bishamonten holding a three headed spear.
Bishamonten is one of the four Shi Ten Ô (guardians of the sky). He is the guardian of the northern part of the Sumeru, a mountain center of the universe. The four faces of the Sumeru are all made of precious materials: gold, silver, sapphir and crystal.
A kogai is a hairpin used by the high ranked samuraï.
