Description
Mokkogata iron tsuba in a namban style, decorated with sukashi (open work) foliated scrolls, and gold nunemo-zogan.
The design depicts, on both sides, two winding dragons on a foliated scrolls background, reaching for a sacred pearl (hōju no tama) above the seppadaï. These patterns are characteristic of the namban style.
